Welcome from the Lady Captain

2017 Lady Captain - Margaret Spence

    My name is Margaret Spence

I am privileged to be Arcot Hall Ladies captain for 2017 and am looking forward to representing Arcot Hall both at home and away.

I shall endeavour to keep the high standards expected by our members and visitors alike. I began my year in November 2016 and my vice-captain and I encouraged the ladies to play during the winter by having 9hole competitions with a different format each time.

Last year we had an excellent response to Get Into Golf and now have several ladies who have become members of Arcot Hall club.

Kriss Bengtsson our professional should be congratulated on his coaching methods he made the ladies feel comfortable and the lessons were informal. The ladies were invited into the club house after lessons and we had coffee and answered any queries from dress to basic rules. These ladies also came to support our social functions and met our Lady Members informally.

I had great pleasure mentoring them as their enthusiasm was great to see.

I would like to wish all our ladies a happy and successful year both on and off the course and thank you for your support.

My chosen charity for 2017 is NEAAS    - North East Air Ambulance Service.  This service depends on charitable giving and in remote areas of our county and along our coastline has saved many lives where vehicles could not gain quick access. In our area alone last year they flew 869 missions!  I thank all those who have already given donations.
