Arcot Hall Golf Club have introduced a new flexible membership scheme.
The new category is called the Lifestyle Membership as it is designed to accommodate the growing number of people who, for whatever reason, do not feel they will play enough golf to justify a conventional membership package but still wish to be a member of a Golf Club.
HOW WILL THE LIFESTYLE MEMBERSHIP WORK?
Members who take out this new membership will pay an annual fee of £199 and then play a reduced green fee rate every time they play the course. The fees per round are shown below and will be lower in the winter period (from 1st November until the end of February) than in the summer.
Members opting to join this category will still pay an affiliation fee and therefore will be able to hold an official club handicap and play in club competitions. The fees shown for the midweek and weekend competitions include the relevant entrance fees.
Members in this category will still be issued with a bar card so that they can obtain the members discount on drinks and snacks at the bar and can upgrade to any other form of membership at any time during the year on the payment of the relevant fee.
Members in the Lifestyle Membership category will not be able to book starting times in competitions before 11.00 on Saturdays as these times will be for the use of full and Retired members only. Also they will not be allowed to obtain discounted green fees through the Newcastle & District Golf Partnership and The Braid Association or be able to take advantage of the reciprocal golf agreements with Eaglescliffe and the 1909 Club.
Fees for rounds must be paid before play either in the shop or behind the bar if the shop is closed. Tickets will be issued and must be displayed on the memberís golf bag as proof of payment. Any member in this category found to be playing the course without having paid the appropriate fee will have their membership terminated with immediate effect.
